Tasker has been in development for over 10 years but it's still, with just a single one-time payment you get to keep it forever and get all its future updates for free.
For example, someone that got it all that time ago has been benefiting from 10 years of updates for free!
Since the current Tasker developer is not the original developer, the new developer never even got compensated by all of the original users. :)
